As part of our membership of the Structural Timber Association (STA) and following their business management assessment to establish our compliance to expected management controls in line with the STA Assure Scheme, our Quality Management Systems have been recognised as meeting the STA Assure Gold standard – the highest level of achievement.
During a quality standard assessment that covered factory production control systems; control of documented information; resources management; control processes; element realisation, design, engineering and development; control of non-conformance; purchasing; production and services provision; measurement, analysis and improvement, SIPS@Clays scored 100% in eight of the categories audited.

As the largest UK trade association within the structural timber sector, the STA works hard to enhance quality and drive product innovation through technical guidance.
As part of this, the STA has reached a formal agreement with the NHBC, who will now accept STA Assure Gold members as compliant with Chapter 6.2 of NHBC's assessment processes for timber structures, without the need for further review or completing a HB2445 form.
This agreement, together with SIPS@Clays status as STA Assure Gold members, will give clients a further layer of reassurance, bolstering confidence that working with SIPS@Clays is the right choice.
